Sheriff's Office Re-Accreditation

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office continues its tradition of excellence and leadership with its seventh certificate of accreditation. The Commission On Accreditation For Law Enforcement Agencies notified Sheriff David Gee this month that HCSO was in full compliance with its standards and requirements for accreditation. A team of independent assessors reviewed the procedures and policies of the Sheriff’s Office and concluded that the agency was worthy of accreditation for the seventh time. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has earned accreditation since 1986, when it became the first Sheriff’s Office in Florida and the third agency in the United States to qualify for that distinction. The citizens of Hillsborough County can be proud that their Sheriff’s Office is among the best in the nation when it comes to serving and protecting.
