Duties and Responsibilities |
|
1) Supervises inmates and their activities as directed by established policies, procedures and regulations. 2) Observes conduct and behavior of inmates to prevent disturbances and escapes. 3) Inspects locks, window bars, grills, doors and gates for signs of tampering. 4) Searches inmates and quarters for contraband articles. 5) Supervises, directs and maintains order during inmate work assignments. 6) Patrols assigned areas for evidence of unauthorized activities, infractions of rules, unsatisfactory attitudes or unsatisfactory adjustment of inmates. 7) Reports observations to superiors. 8) May supervise inmates in transit to other facilities. 9) May perform riot or patrol duties outside the detention facility. 10) Performs related duties as required. |
