Honoring Our Fallen Heroes

"GREATER LOVE HATH NO ONE THAN THIS, THAT WE LAY DOWN OUR LIVES FOR OUR FELLOW MAN."

Dear Lord,
Be with me in my role this day and every day;
Grant that each weary mile I patrol may ease a brother's way;
Let me be kindly to the old and to the young be strong;
But let me triumph over those whose acts are cruel or wrong,
And when my own last summons comes and I stand in Your court,
Lord, may my rest with You be long,
My punishment be short.

Miss Me But Let Me Go. . .

When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me,
Where no rights in a gloom - filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little . . . but not too long,
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that was once shared,
Miss Me . . . But Let Me Go . . .
memorial
For this is a journey we all must take,
And each must go along.
It's all part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart,
Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrows in good deeds . . .
Miss Me . . . But Let Me Go . . .
